BILLING

2nd MOON INC will bill you automatically on the 1st of every month. 2nd Moon Inc is the parent company of School of Rock Alexandria

PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS

The franchise has a 30 day notice policy for canceling or extended holds of your music plan, please provide all cancellations in writing. Example: If you cancel Oct 23, you’ll still be billed through Nov 23.

LESSON CANCELLATIONS

You may cancel/reschedule lessons in person, phone OR online at https://Alexandria-sor.pike13.com/ There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. In the event you are unable to attend a lesson for your own reason, School of Rock will make efforts to arrange for a make-up lesson, provided, however, that you notify the school of your expected absence at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. If you fail to show up for your lesson or notify the school less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, you will not be eligible for a make-up lesson.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Due to scheduling constraints, we do not offer make-up lessons for the following holidays.
● NEW YEARS DAY
● MEMORIAL DAY & WEEKEND
● INDEPENDENCE DAY
● LABOR DAY & WEEKEND
● THANKSGIVING & WEEKEND
● CHRISTMAS WEEK Dec 24-31  & New Years Day Jan 1
Due to scheduling constraints, we do not offer makeup lessons for the above holidays. Because School of Rock is billed monthly, there are typically about four months out of the year when a student may receive five lessons/groups per month at no additional charge. This generally balances out any missed holidays and we strive to ensure that every student receives an average of four lessons per month over the course of a show season (or a period of 3 to 4
months).

USE OF SUBSTITUTES

While our amazing instructors are dedicated to you/your child, there are times that we will be forced to use a qualified SUBSTITUTE.  With any last minute instructor call-out, we may not always have the chance to notify you of the change.
WHY SUBSTITUTES:

  • Learning Stays on Track: A substitute ensures your child doesn’t miss valuable music lessons, keeping their progress steady even when the regular teacher is away.

  • New Perspectives: Substitutes often bring fresh ideas, teaching styles, and specialized skills that can enrich your child’s music education.

  • Consistency and Support: They help maintain a stable and engaging learning environment while supporting the regular teacher’s well-being.

  • Excitement and Growth: Substitutes can introduce new energy, activities, and techniques that inspire your child and make learning even more exciting.

NON-FRATERNIZATION POLICY

For the protection of our students and staff, all communication outside of School of Rock must go directly through a parent or guardian and the front desk.

STUDENT SAFETY

To keep our school safe and comfortable for both students and staff, we follow a “no wandering policy". If you’d like to check in on your child during a program, we’re happy to escort you back. With so many students learning at once, having extra people moving through the studio can quickly become overwhelming and create safety risks. Your understanding helps us keep the focus on the student's safety. ADULT STUDENTS: Since the school is typically full of children, we ask that you kindly remain in the lobby prior to lessons and not linger in areas with children present.

OFF PREMISE WAIVER

For the safety of our students, School of Rock requires that all students remain on the premises until a parent or guardian is present for pickup. If a parent chooses to allow their child to leave without being accompanied, this is permitted only for students ages 13 and older with a signed Off-Premises Waiver on file.  Off Premises Waiver available upon request.

If you have any safety concerns, you may report them using our 3rd party MYSAFESCHOOLOFROCK.COM portal

WHAT SCHOOL OF ROCK CAN DO FOR YOUR CHILD

  • Boosts Academic Skills: Music supports brain development, enhances focus, and improves abilities in math, reading, and problem-solving.
